October 1999 Meissner Examples of use of ISAD(G) elements in print finding aids, EAD-encoded finding aids, and MARC records for possible use by Michael Fox in forthcoming ISAD(G) revision documentation; must be in Michael Fox's hands by 15 November 1999. Examples collected by Michael Fox and forwarded to ICA/CDS for inclusion in ISAD(G) revision.
August 1999 Bouché/Fox Consideration of other MARC fields used by archivists for inclusion of $l URL linking subfield approved by MARBI for 555 and 583 (Proposal 99:08); any resulting proposal will need to be delivered to LC MARC office in October for consideration at midwinter MARBI meeting Linking subfield $u approved for use in MARC21 fields 505, 514, 520, 530, 545, 552 at January 2000 MARBI meeting.
August 1999 Monroe/Landis Review, with CEPD representatives, of SAA's continuing education curriculum in the area of archival description and descriptive standards. Goal: produce discussion/recommendation paper for the SAA's newly appointed Continuing Education Task Force. Landis sent analysis of SAA's continuing education offerings in description to interested members of TSDS and CEPD and received several very useful responses that were forwarded to the Task Force in advance of its March 2000 meeting. The Continuing Education Task Force's final report is also available on the SAA Web site.

April 1999 Kiesling EAD Working Group and TSDS asked to provide comment to Canadian Committee on Data Structure Standards (CCDSS) on EAD/RAD Matrix and accompanying request for additional EAD elements. April 1999 Landis Consortium for the Computer Interchange of Museum Information (CIMI), via the Archives listserv, requested reviews of a Beta draft of its Guide to Best Practice: Dublin Core. Comments
March 1999 Engst TSDS asked to participate with Standards Committee members in the review of a draft revision of Archival Moving Image Materials: A Cataloging Manual and a review of extensive comments by the Association of Moving Image Archivists (AMIA) on that draft revision. January 1999 Jackie Dooley, editor TSDS asked to participate with members of the EAD Working Group in a review of a draft of the EAD Application Guidelines, Version 1.0. Completed. Comments not available online.
