Mission Statement

 

To serve as a forum to educate archivists on the complexities and beauty of Native American archives of the western hemisphere and as a source of communication and inspiration for archivists working with Native American collections.

Roundtable’s History

 

The roundtable was formed as a result of a petition at he 2005 SAA Annual Meeting conference held in New Orleans. On Tuesday, August 13, 2005 Nancy Beaumont, SAA Executive Director, informed, David L. George-Shongo Jr., NAAR Chair, that by unanimous vote the SAA Council approved the Roundtable.
