Getty Grant Program
All grants promote the understanding and conservation of the visual arts.
Research Support for
individuals and institutions throughout the world to promote scholarship in the
history of art.
Conservation Support for art
collections, historic buildings, and archaeological sites.
Education and Professional
Development Support for training of professionals, internships, and museum
interpretation.
IMLS - Institute of Museum and Library Services The
Institute of Museum and Library Services is an independent federal agency that
fosters leadership, innovation and a lifetime of learning. IMLS supports all types
of museums, from art and history to science and zoos, and all types of libraries and
archives, from public and academic to research and school. IMLS expands the
educational benefit of these institutions by encouraging partnerships.
NEA - National Endowment for
the Arts The Arts Endowment awards grants to nonprofit organizations in
three areas: Access to Artistic Excellence, Learning in the Arts, Challenge America,
and Partnership Agreements. Forty percent of its funds are awarded to state and
jurisdictional arts agencies and six regional arts organizations.
NEH - National Endowment for the Humanities NEH grants
typically go to cultural institutions, such as museums, archives, libraries,
colleges, universities, public television, and radio stations, and to individual
scholars. The grants: - strengthen teaching and learning in the humanities in
schools and colleges across the nation -facilitate research and original
scholarship -provide opportunities for lifelong learning -preserve and
provide access to cultural and educational resources -strengthen the
institutional base of the humanities
NHPRC - National
Historical Publications and Records Commission The Commission funds
projects that deal with the following kinds of documentary source material:
-records of state, county,
municipal, tribal, or other non-Federal units of government -manuscripts,
personal and family papers, or organizational and business archives
-collections of photographs, motion pictures, sound recordings, electronic records,
and/or such visual materials as unpublished architectural, cartographic, and
engineering drawings

Science Foundation
Technology Opportunities Program TOP projects demonstrate how digital
networks support lifelong learning for all Americans, help public safety officials
