Lone Arrangers Roundtable
Election 2010
Chair
The 2010-2011 Chair will be Christina Zamon, Head of Archives & Special Collections at Emerson College. She will be rotating in as Chair after serving for the past year as Vice-Chair/Chair-Elect, a position to which she was nominated at the 2009 Annual Meeting in Austin. Christina wrote this personal statement about her continued work with the Lone Arrangers Roundtable:
Over the course of my term I would like to continue my efforts to connect lone arrangers online. Our first attempt through Ning was fairly successful, however, Ning now requires fees for hosting so the Lone Arrangers page will soon be gone. We will be migrating to Big Tent and hopefully expand our online community and capabilities. In addition to connecting lone arrangers online I hope to connect to lone arrangers with my upcoming publication “Flying Solo: How to Successfully Manage a Small Repository.”
Vice-Chair/Chair-Elect Candidate
The 2010-2011 candidate for Vice-Chair/Chair-Elect is Michelle Ganz, Archivist and Special Collections Librarian at the Lincoln Memorial University Archives, Abraham Lincoln Library and Museum. Michelle wrote this personal statement about the future of the Lone Arrangers Roundtable:
The communication and support that Lone Arrangers provide each other is vital. The Roundtable has provided many forums for networking. I would like to see the Roundtable moving into a stronger education arena. I believe that our fellow Lone Arrangers’ have the skills and knowledge to be able to provide cooperative learning opportunities that will help us better address our unique challenges.
Web Liaison (Appointed Position)
The Lone Arrangers Roundtable is seeking a new Web Liaison to manage the roundtable's website. The Liaison will be responsible for maintaining and updating all aspects of the roundtable's website throughout the year as necessary. The Liaison will also work to migrate the roundtable's website to Drupal, the new content management system implemented by SAA for all group sites. If you're interested, please send your name and website management experience to Christina Zamon at
