The Electronic Records Section (ERS) functions as a locus of expertise, leadership
and information sharing for the Society of American Archivists (SAA) regarding
the management and preservation of records in electronic form.
ERS Leader -- Suzie Long
Biography
Suzanna Long worked as a scientific and electronic records archivist for the National Archives and Records
Administration and was an archives consultant for over 10 years. Currently, she is an assistant professor
with the Department of Management and Marketing at Missouri Southern State University and is completing a
PhD in engineering management at UMR. She received an M.S. in engineering management, B.S. in physics and
a B.A. in history from the University of Missouri-Rolla (UMR) and an M.A. in history from the University of
Missouri-St. Louis and has post-graduate certification in archives administration. Her research interests
include logistics and technology-driven change management; and the application of systems engineering
principles to records management systems.
