Encoding Procedure:  

Began with word processing files (Word and WordPerfect), html, database files (Dbase), and paper files. Re-keyed and OCR'ed in-house. Used web forms for all (header, frontmatter, etc.) except <dsc> The <dsc> is most frequently marked up using Note Tab. All guides are reviewed for quality-control through the central processing unit at the University of Virginia.

Delivery Mechanism:  

Indexed (full-text) using Open Text, and rendered in HTML on the fly.
