Note on implementor write-ups
In the first meeting of the EAD Roundtable, an open discussion was held
to determine what the focus of the group should be. While the Roundtable
saw fit to take on a number of topics, a repeated request was for
information regarding the creation and distribution of EAD instances --
"How do you do it at your institution?" To this end, Members of the EAD
RoundTable are in the process of gathering this information anecdotally
and creating a list (parallel to that at the Library of
Congress), which provides insight about the most often-asked
questions. Each site on the LC list was contacted with a letter which
asked about the following:
Delivery method of encoded finding aids (e.g. native SGML, HTML on the
fly, or other specific method)
- A statement about the procedure for preparing EAD instances,
touching specifically on:
- What format they began with,
- How they converted to electronic format (if they began with printed
documents)
- How they mark up their instances
- If they've automated their markup in any way
- Extra steps they take to proof and parse their instances,
- Indexing procedure

its own "implementor page". For modifications to your page you are

The old implementor list of EAD Sites Annotated is still available. Its also available as
