Description: The Lucent Technologies Archives was established in 1996 to
document the history and ongoing business activities of Lucent Technologies and
the R&D activities of Bell Laboratories. The collections contain material
from Lucent's predecessor companies, Western Electric and AT&T, which
were formed in the 1800s. The Archives also manages two company museums that are
open to the public and an international traveling exhibit program.

Description: In 1938, Molex Product Company was founded in Brookfield,
Illinois. Molex was named after a unique plastic molding
material. the Molex archives documents the world's second largest
manufacturer of electronic connectors, switches, fiber optics, and associated
application tooling from its first factory to its 49 manufacturing facilities in
21 countries in 1999. The Molex archives holds several thousand artifacts,
an audio-visual collection that includes over 100,000 images and 632 videos, and
a printed and manuscript collection of over 100 linear feet.
