Fellows Nominations
Criteria & Guidelines
Nominators must be members of the Society of American Archivists.
Criteria
Appropriate academic education, and professional and technical training in
any fields of SAA's interest; professional experience in any of the fields
of SAA's objectives for a minimum of seven years, which shall include evidence
of professional responsibility; contributions to the profession demonstrating
initiative, resourcefulness, and commitment; writings of superior quality and
usefulness; contributions to the archival profession through active participation
in SAA and innovative or outstanding work on behalf of SAA.
Guidelines
A member of the Society of American Archivists (SAA) may be elected a Fellow
if he/she has been an individual member of SAA in good standing for at least
seven years immediately preceding his/her election; a duly-elected Fellow shall
retain this designation so long as membership in good standing is maintained
in SAA; and election of Fellows shall be seventy-five percent of the vote of
the Committee on the Selection of SAA Fellows.
