Records Management Supervisor
Architectural Firm
New York, NY
Primary Responsibilities
- Facilitate the development, approval and update of records management policies and procedures.
- Manage records staff
- Facilitate communication and implementation of record destruction based on the firm's policy and the quick retrieval of records needed for discovery proceedings and regulatory audits.
- Assist other business units to retrieve records.
- Assist in records related software development implementation and administration.
- Identify and communicate requirements for enabling technology to support records management service delivery.

Other Responsibilities
- Manage resources and online database
- Prepare and administer annual budget utilizing cost efficient methods to retrieve documents.
- Review current technologies and apply the latest techniques of information storage and retrieval.
- Research and answer general records and archiving questions
- Collection development and archiving of all records
- Effectively manage multiple tasks and identify priorities in a rapidly changing environment.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in a related discipline or equivalent work experience
- A Certified Records Management (CRM) certificate is preferred
- At least 7 years professional experience in records management and/or a special subject library related to architecture, design, engineering or archive-setting
- Proficient records searching skills
- Extensive compliance/retention knowledge
- Working knowledge of computer applications including Microsoft Office
- Ability to work both independently and with others in a team environment.
- Demonstrate organizational and leadership skills.
- Possesses excellent communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills.
- MLS preferred
