The Claims Conference, an international non-profit organization headquartered in New York, was established in 1951 to negotiate a program of indemnification for material damages to Jewish individuals and to the Jewish people caused by Germany through the Holocaust. This respected organization administers several major programs for the benefit of Holocaust survivors worldwide and actively negotiates with the German government.
The Claims Conference is currently recruiting for a Document Manager/Archivist for a one year position. Responsibilities include the following: reviewing and organizing historical records, archiving the material, and creating a record-keeping and orderly retrieval system online.
Must have extensive knowledge of the Holocaust. Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and databases. Ability to read German and other European languages preferred.
