Archivist (Program Assistant)

Under the supervision of the Curator of the Kean Center for American History, the Archivist will be responsible for collecting, cataloging, describing and digitizing the manuscript collection for Liberty Hall Museum at Kean University.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college required, preferably with a specialization in archives from an ALA-approved institution. A minimum of two years of experience in appraising, arranging and describing archival materials is preferred. Candidate must have the ability to perform physical activities associated with archival work including climbing, stretching and/or lifting. Excellent organizational skills and oral and written communication skills are essential.
