1. RECORDS AND INFORMATION ANALYST (LEAD WORKER).

This position acts as the lead worker of the newly formed State Records and Information Group and is responsible for efforts to oversee the acquisition, preservation, and management of Wisconsin state government records in all formats. The position is focused both on efforts to improve state records and information capabilities within the Library-Archives collections and also to develop and improve archival and records management capabilities throughout all state government agencies. This position will have day-to-day responsibility for overseeing the work of the other members of the group. This position is tasked with creating and implementing plans for comprehensive public records and information documentation strategies for the state archives and also for the management of electronic records. The position actively participates in, and may lead, inter-agency committees, work teams, and projects related to records and information management and archival administration.

2. ELECTRONIC RECORDS ARCHIVIST.

This position serves as a member of the newly formed State Records and Information Group and has overall responsibility for the appraisal, acquisition and technical aspects of accessioning of electronic public records. This position supports the work of the group by guiding efforts to acquire, preserve, and make accessible electronic records and other information systems from Wisconsin state government and by providing direct assistance to state agency personnel in the area of managing electronic records and electronic access systems. The work of this position involves frequent contacts with outside agencies, institutions, and individuals.

3. PUBLIC RECORDS ACCESSIONER.

This position serves as a member of the newly formed State Records and Information Group and has overall responsibility for the acquisition and accessioning of Wisconsin state government agency records series with historical value, with primary focus on the appraisal, accessioning, arrangement, and description of records in all formats. The work of this position involves frequent contacts with outside agencies, institutions, and individuals.

Completed materials must be received by 4:00 p.m. on March 31, 2008. Most qualified candidates will be invited to participate in the next step of the interview process.

Salary Range: Records & Information Analyst and Electronic Records Archivist: $36,055 to $53,181 per year. Public Records Accessioner: $36,055 to $48,673 per year. Salary is dependent on qualifications.
