The University of Illinois
has developed an open-source tool that will allow archivists with few
technological resources to build searchable finding aid websites.The plug-and-play
system uses web forms for data input and builds its own searchable collections
website, MARC records, and EAD files. In this jargon-free session, presenters
explain how the system was designed and how it evolved after it was tested by
archivists at an established repository and a newly created church archives.
