DSpace is a practical and sustainable digital
institutional repository, now employed in a variety of situations and adapted to
a variety of purposes. The speakers review the technology from the perspective
of one of its principal designers and present reports on its implementation in
two different archival settings – a state archives and a university archives.
The focus is on adaptation, management and collaboration, with an evaluation of the costs and benefits of innovation.
