| Table 25 indicates that most archivists have been members
of SAA for 3 to 9 years, although Supervisors and Managers are more likely to be members
for 10 to 19 years. Nearly all of the respondents indicate they are a member of a regional
archival association and over 1 out of 4 of the Senior Archivists or higher are also
certified archivists. There is significant duplicate membership among Supervisors and
Managers with the American Association for State and Local History. Assistant Archivists
tend to be members of the American Library Association as well as SAA (25%). |
