The MA/MS (Subject Matter Masters) has the highest representation in all categories except for Assistant Archivist. Nearly all archivists have a degree. At the Assistant Archivist and Associate Archivist level, females tend to dominate with supervisors and managers being more nearly equally distributed. The most popular pre-employment educational background is three or more graduate archival courses with the next most being one or two graduate archival courses. Educational background appears to be consistent over all job categories in Table 23
